Will Clark is a Deaf cinematographer and director based in Glasgow, Scotland, working across narrative, documentary, and commercial screen productions.

He earned his BA (Hons) in Photography from City of Glasgow College in 2015, establishing a deep foundation in visual composition before transitioning into cinematography and filmmaking in 2020. As a native British Sign Language user, Will’s visual approach is deeply shaped by his lived Deaf experience - favoring a naturalistic, atmospheric style that focuses on light, texture, and performance to craft emotive, character-driven stories.

Will’s work as a cinematographer has screened at international film festivals worldwide, spanning short films, documentaries, and commercial work for cultural institutions and independent production companies.

A passionate advocate for Deaf representation in front of and behind the camera, Will is the co-founder of Dreich Films, a Deaf-led collective currently developing Scotland’s first Deaf narrative feature film, and co-creator of Solar Reels, the country’s first Deaf-led film school. 

Alongside his film work, he lectures at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, teaching cinematic storytelling and visual language across the BA Performance and BA Filmmaking programs.
